We’ve got this idea years ago, that it would be nice to go all the way down to South America on a motorbike. At that time I wasn’t even riding a bike. Or actually I was, on the back seat. Vasile was riding a Suzuki V-Strom at the time, so the plan was to go two up.

Turned out that riding is a catching disease. I got the bug too, and now I am riding a BMW 650 GS and Vasile upgraded to a KTM 990 (“OMG, the best bike ever!!!” – according to him).

So here we go, getting ready for the big South-American adventure. We will be riding our motorcycles from Vancouver BC all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina. Or at least this is the plan. Excited!!!!

Here is our Spot tracking system, where you can see exactly where we are at all times.

GOOD LUCK GUYS!! HAVE AN AMAZING TRIP 😀

    • Thanks Alessandro! Miss you guys already. But I have to admit, I am having a blast so far:)

      • Alessandro Frijo

And it’s only 24hrs into your trip.. I think you may not want to come back to Canada after 1year 😛

I see you stopped at Wenatchee Motorsports in Sunnyslope. motorcycle problem already or just needed some upgrades?

    • People are talking about Mexico being unsafe, but someone tried to still gas from Vasile’s bike in Canada, so they left a piece of wire in the gas cap lock, so they screwed it up. Vasile used the hammer for a temporary fix:)

That’s CRAZY MAN!! What part of Canada were you in? Cheeky buggers.

  4. In Vancouver! Go figure:) Actually I think it happened when we went camping the last time, by Chehalis Lake.

I also heard Mexico is quite unsafe, but it probably depends on who’s talking:) Anyways, it looks like you’re now in the amazing part of USA, WA state, where I lived for a year. It’s a great region, very clean and the people are quite nice too. Can’t wait to see pictures from San Francisco, which, unfortunately, we did not see.
Hope you have a wonderful trip, full of nice surprises and interesting people (I mean interesting in a good way)
    Kisses 🙂

Very handy repair job Lica, glad Camelia is OK. I think I would prefer the beaches to the desert but the observatory looked like an awesome ride. Have a great time with your adventure. Dennis

I was reading thru your adventure…envious! It was great to see that I made it into your postings along with pics of my Mtn Hideout. I feel like I made it into the history books and a small level. Are you guys home yet or still taking the long way home. Did you get your jacket?

  16. Hey Pete,
Yes I got the jacket, thank you! We made it home on June 1, I just didn’t have the time to post my last report of the trip. U can imagine, we got pretty busy with seeing old friends and family.
How are you doing? It was really nice to see u again in Colorado. Take care.
